ARTROCKER
There’s a maturity and sophistication in both the recording and the arrangement that instantly gives you the impression that these guys know what they’re doing. With huge, confident riffs akin to that of the fabled Rival Schools, and a surefire powerful rythm, the song drags you along in a whistlestop way that makes you feel like you’re part of a story. This trio seem to have all the melodic hooks and gusto of those in the alternative-mainstream, without falling into the same old traps that render the latter predictable and boring. It’s an impressive combination.
The 405
Hold Your Horse Is latest single ‘You Show Up’ from upcoming EP Rammin’ It Home is a rampant, unrelenting attack of pure audible joy. Once again providing their fans with another dose of audio ketamine the Brighton 3 piece have really hit the mark with one hell of a record. 10/10
WAIT FOR THE CLICK
This is a fierce, immediate and exhilarating slap of UK indie/punk that the BSM imprint is becoming well regarded for.
MUSIC FAN'S MIC
Merciless changes of structure and rhythm, thick guitar patterns hone in at your bloodstream, altering your mindset and leaving you utterly dumbstruck. It’s a sullen, unforgiving experience, one that completely overwhelms.
BEST NEW BANDS
Hold Your Horse Is “You Show Up”- So, I can’t get enough of this song. The punks’ lovestruck love song is enchanting and completely unexpected- with lyrics of sweet yearning embedded behind rough guitar riffs reminiscent of a whole other bad in the new black era. To make things all the sweeter.
